Prof. Ping Chen

Focus on White OLEDs

Ping Chen is Professor of College of Electronic Science and Engineering, Jilin University at Jilin University. He received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Jilin University, respectively.  He conducted postdoctoral research at Bowling Green States University of USA.  He joined Jilin University as an assistant professor in 2008 and was promoted to professor in 2016.  His research interests include organic light-emitting diodes, organic solar cells.  Chen has published more than 60 papers. 

Assoc. Prof. Haitao Wang

Focus on Chemical Materials

Haitao Wang, born in 1981, received his Ph.D. degree in Materials physics and chemistry at Jilin University in 2008 with thesis title: Synthesis and Mesophase Structure of Several Types of Non-conventional Liquid Crystals. 2007-2008, he worked as visiting student at LCMRC, University of Colorado at Boulder. He finished his postdoc career at Jilin University while taking visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology, United States. He works as Associate Professor at Jilin University since 2011. His research interests include molecular self-assembly of liquid crystals, organogels and organic nano-structures, Organic light-emitting materials and Computational quantum chemistry.

Assoc. Prof. Fuquan Bai

Focus on Theoretical Simulation 

FuQuan Bai received his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University in June 2009. 2012-2013, he did his first postdoc research at Kyoto University of Japan and finished his second postdoc career in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2016-2017. From 2014, he is working as associate professor at Jilin University. His research interests include the excited state of transition metal complexes and their electronic structures and spectroscopic properties for OLED, the excited state of dinuclear or polynuclear complexes, theoretical studies on the charge transfer process for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) and the growth, application control, surface reaction mechanism, reaction rate, etc. in two-dimensional material.

Prof. Yu Duan

Lab Manager

Yu Duan, born in 1978, is a professor of the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics, Jilin University, School of Electronic Science and Engineering. He Joined NLD in June 2013. He studied at Northwestern Polytechnical University from 1997 to 2001 and got a bachelor's degree. He got a Ph.D. degree in Science from Jilin University in 2006. The graduation dissertation was awarded outstanding doctoral dissertation in Jilin Province. He engaged in postdoctoral research in the National Nano lab in Italy from 2007 to 2010. He was qualified as a professor of Jilin University in September 2014. He mainly engaged in organic semiconductor optoelectronic devices physics, designing the structure of device and technology research of process.
He successfully developed the white OLED device with the lowest driving voltage in the world at that time, which was published in the American Applied Physics Letters in 2008. The oxide thin film encapsulation layer that can be used in organic optoelectronic devices is successfully developed at a low temperature by using atomic layer deposition technology. The water vapor transmission rate reached the best-reported water vapor barrier performance at that time in China.
